Skilled Graduates Safeguarded Australian Economy

“Our VET sector has already led the way in training frontline workers who have safeguarded our economy from the effects of a global pandemic and today’s announcement will further bolster the sector to a world-class standard”, said by Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education Geoff Lee. As a RTO, we can observe that the skills industry needs are evolving and our VET sector must continue to evolve and remain accessible to ensure the people of Australia continue to undertake vocational education to drive forward with new skills. In applied technology, a new level of tertiary education has been integrating the theoretical study in university with the practical training of vocational education.

Australia’s employment rate has grown to a ‘record high’, with 180,000 more Australians in work today than at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Australia’s unemployment rate has dropped to its lowest level since the start of the Global Financial Crisis in 2008, falling 0.5 per cent to 4.2 per cent. (Source: 9NEWS, 28 Jan 2022).
